Nisha Aggarwal, is all set to tie the knot to her longtime beau Karan
Valecha on December 28. The wedding is likely to be a private affair
with only close friends and relatives of the couple in attendance.
“I met Karan five years ago in Mumbai, through a common friend.
Eventually, we fell for each other and have been seeing each other since
then,” says the actress about being struck by Cupid’s arrow. “He is an
amazing person and really cares for me. He even came down to Hyderabad
for the release of my debut Telugu film (‘Yemayindi Ee Vela’). Karan has
watched all my films and is my biggest critic, after Kajal (her
sister),” says the blushing bride-to-be.
Was her family apprehensive about their relationship at first? “I
don’t hide anything from my family. They’re very supportive and they
were aware of us seeing each other. My family is happy for me,” Nisha
says.
“Everyone in my family, including Kajal, is okay with my decision. In
fact, Kajal is excited about my wedding and she’s eagerly looking
forward to it. She has known Karan for a long time now,” she goes on.
Speaking about the wedding, she says, “It will take place in Mumbai
on December 28. Karan and I have decided it keep it a private affair
with friends and family. A few of my film industry friends will also be
invited.”
The big question now is, will she continue acting? “Yes, I will
continue working in films. Neither Karan, nor his family, has a problem
with it,” says the 24-year-old. “Since the wedding is around the corner,
I haven’t signed any films after DK Bose. I may not return to work
before January as the wedding is in December,” she explains.
Since her groom is from Mumbai, is she planning to move base to
Bollywood? “I’ll continue to act in Telugu films as they brought me
recognition. But if I get a great Hindi film offer, I’ll definitely take
it up,” Nisha replies.
In late 2010, Kajal Aggarwal announced that Nisha would make her
acting debut in Telugu films. Nisha’s first film was a romantic drama,
Yemaindi Ee Vela alongside Varun Sandesh of Happy Days fame. Her
performance was praised by critics. Her next film was Solo, which
released in late 2011, where she played a medical college student.
She made her debut in Tamil with the film Ishtam (2012), a remake of
Yemaindi Ee Vela, alongside upcoming actor Vimal. She later appeared in
2013 opposite Aadi in Sukumarudu. She is currently acting in two Telugu
films, Saradaga Ammayitho and DK Bose.
